Cleave Coffee started with the awakening that coffee originated in Africa. So began a journey of exploring the various single origin coffees and blends from across the continent – resulting in Cleave! Our venture to bring you great African coffee, delivered to your door!
Cleave is an interesting word with opposite meanings:
“to become very strongly involved with, to be attached to” AND
“to split along a natural grain”
We embrace this dichotomy: we cleave (attach) to the love of coffee from the Motherland while we also cleave (split) from the mass consumption and exploitation, historically associated with the industry.
